Christina Aguilera turns her attention to the big screen
Fans of Christina Aguilera’s pipes will have to wait a little longer – the songstress is turning her focus to acting, currently shooting her first feature film.
Aquilera, who took a few years off from singing after giving birth to son Max, picked a role in “Burlesque” as her first – she will play a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles and takes a job in a burlesque club.
The singer will be sharing the screen with another diva – Cher. In fact, Aguilera has said that working with the legendary artist is in large part why she took the role.
The flick, which began filming in late 2009, should be in theaters later this year.
